Our Story

CipherSonic Labs was founded to transform breakthrough research in cryptography into real-world infrastructure for modern and secure enterprise AI. 

Originating from advanced research conducted at Boston University by co-founders Rashmi Agrawal and Ajay Joshi, CipherSonic was built on the belief that data privacy and AI innovation should not be mutually exclusive.

Their work in lattice-based cryptography and privacy-preserving computation laid the foundation for CipherSonic’s encrypted AI platform, enabling organizations to deploy AI securely in regulated and high-assurance environments.

Ajay Joshi

CEO & Co-Founder

Ajay Joshi is the CEO and Co-founder of CipherSonic Labs. He earned his PhD from Georgia Tech and was a postdoc at MIT. In the past, he has held industry positions at Google, Lightmatter and Intel.

Rashmi Agrawal

CTO & Co-Founder

Rashmi Agrawal is the CTO and Co-founder of CipherSonic Labs. She earned her PhD from Boston University. During her PhD, Rashmi interned at Xilinx Research Labs and Analog Devices. She has also worked at Intel and Intel labs.
